During the Fall, when we visited, they even had festive décor and sweet treats for guests to enjoy. Once you make your way past the lobby and to your guest suite, get ready for a regal retreat. The recently enhanced rooms are truly stunning with accents in charcoal, purple, and gold. We were pleased by the level of detail in patterns, textures, and accents that take these suites from a standard room to a luxury space. We even had the opportunity to meet the resort's General Manager, Matthew Jones, who was heavily involved in the process. He hand-selected many items, such as color schemes, furniture pieces, and design elements all with the guest experience in mind, and his passion for creating a welcoming space shines through in every detail. You can appreciate these newly upgraded rooms while still enjoying everything there is to love about a spacious Extra Holidays suite – the comfortable queen bed, a sleeper sofa in the living area, a kitchenette, and separate dining area. These beautiful suites inspired us to enjoy a cozy night-in. We opened a local bottle of wine from Napa Valley, a few miles north, savored along with extra goodies provided to us by concierge to complete our relaxing night-in, a variety of chocolates, and popcorn that we popped right in-suite! We often find moments like these are the best time to reflect on all the vacay adventures of the trip and a separate living area to do it in is very appreciated. If you decide to leave the luxury of Club Wyndham Canterbury to venture out into the city, a visit to San Francisco is sure to be filled with sightseeing at iconic locations like the Golden Gate Bridge, the infamous Alcatraz Island, and the bustling Fisherman's Wharf.
